Spicy Cajun Burger Recipe


This burger has a great spicy kick, perfect for that your next day outside.


Ingredients:

3 Tbsp. Dried Oregano

1 Tbsp. Paprika

1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder

3 Tbsp. Ground Cumin

1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper

2 tsp. Salt

1 lb. Ground Beef

1 tsp. Salt

1/4 Cup Onion, finely chopped

1/2 tsp. Dried Thyme

1 Garlic Clove, minced

1/2 to 1 tsp. Hot Pepper Sauce

1/4 tsp. Dried Basil

1 tsp. Cajun Seasoning Blend

4 Hamburger Buns

Sautéed Onions (optional)


Directions:

Combine the oregano, paprika, garlic, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt into a small bowl.


Combine the beef, salt, onion, thyme, garlic clove, hot sauce, basil, and 1 tsp. of the Cajun seasoning from the other bowl.  Shape into four patties, and cook in a skillet or on a grill over medium hot heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side.


Serve on buns, with sautéed onions.


Remember that any burger tastes better with cheese, you’re always welcome to add your favorite American, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Swiss to any burger if desired.
